Alana and Alyssa
Alana De La Garza has established herself as a household name in TV. In 1976 De La Garza was born to a Mexican-American father as well as an Irish-American mom in Columbus Ohio. Within a short time she left Ohio to move to Texas and completed her degree in physical therapy at the University of Texas. De La Garza didn't last for long in Texas and moved into Orlando Florida where she experienced various acting roles including local independent films and global commercials. Even with the minor roles, she discovered that she was a performer with a passion. The year 2001 saw her move from the Midwest to New York where her first appearance was on the All My Children's soap-opera as Rosa Santos. Through the first half of 2000 she appeared in small roles on JAG Las Vegas and Two and a Half Men. She landed her major role in the year 2004, on the underrated drama The Mountain. De La Garza played Maria Serrano along with a host of the best TV actors, including Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Mitch Pileggi, and Mitch Pilegge. Her most memorable character came in 2006 on Law & Order where she was A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa. She appeared 85 times. The character later re-entered the short-lived spin-off Law & Order: LA. This character was a hit and has earned De La Garza several nominations such as Best Supporting Actress - Television from the Imagen Foundation Awards and even several ALMA Award noms. The actress was awarded the Impact Award in 2008 for her outstanding performance on a dramatic television series from National Hispanic Media Coalition. De La Garza, in a recurring cast role in CSI Miami was announced a few minutes after. She was Marisol Delko's wife and David Caruso's character Horatio Caine. In the NBC's dramatic, dark drama Do No Harm she played her character as Dr. Lena Solis. It was pulled after two short episodes. Alyssa Milano.............................Alyssa Jayne Milano was born on December 19 1972 in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn New York City to fashion designer and talent manager Lin Milano and film-music editor Thomas M. Milano. She is from Italian descent and also has a younger brother Cory who is 10 years her junior. Her family was a very strict and spiritual one. Milano started her acting professional career when she was just seven years old. Her babysitter took her on an audition for acting. Four girls selected out of over 1,000 hopefuls included Milano. Milano was featured in commercials in both Broadway and on TV and in the American musical adaptation that portrayed Jane Eyre.
