Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an Indian-born British American musician and sitarist is best known for her musical talents. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and also the first female recipient. Apart from the nine Grammy awards She was also the first Indian-born musician to be a presenter and performer at the award ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is a rising star on sitar music. Indian sitar. She is the student and daughter to Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982. During the first few years of her life she was split her time between London New Delhi. The first time she performed was at New Delhi at the tender age of thirteen. In the following years the same year, in Encinitas CA she attended high school and graduated with distinction in 1999. Anouskha was only an teen, has enjoyed an impressive recording and performing career. She often joins her father during performances, something she has been doing for a number of years.
