Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known in the media as Ashanti was born October 13 1981 in Glen Cove New York United States. Ashanti is an United States singer, songwriter as well as an actress. Ashanti's talent was first discovered in her teens. The singer signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. Ashanti was featured in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that the same year.
